Dr. Earl C. Johnson, Senior Pastor

Dr. Earl C. Johnson is a native of Alabama.  He currently resides in Huntsville, AL where he is the pastor of  Christ Community Church.  A most sought after lecturer and program developer, Dr. Earl C. Johnson also serves as a bible college instructor for Old Testament and New Testament at Huntsville Bible College in Huntsville, AL.  Retired from Federal Services in 2016 after thrity years in contracting as a Contracting Officer for the Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Dr.  Earl C. Johnson attended Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University (Alabama A&M) where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Telecommunication.  He  worked for a short period after graduation at and NBC Television affiliate in Columbus, GA.  Having later  received his call into the ministry, he earned a Bachelor of Theology Degree from American Baptist Theological Seminary in Nashville, TN with honors (Magna Cum Laude).  He then further his theological studies at Beeson Divinity School at Samford University in Birmingham, AL and received a Masters of Divinity Degree. In addition, he earned a   Doctorate of Ministry Degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Louisville, Kentucky.  

Dr. Johnson’s professional memberships includes: The Alban Institute, Huntsville Bible College Faculty, Greater Huntsville Interdenominational Ministerial Fellowship, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), National Association for Investors Club, Southern Baptist Convention, Alabama State Board of Mission, Madison Baptist Association, National Baptist Convention, U.S.A. Incorporate, Alumni Association Alabama A&M. University, Alumni Association Samford University, Alumni Association American Baptist College, Alpha Epsilon Rho Honorary Broadcasting Society, North American Mission Board, and a board member of Alabama State Board of Mission Inter-Baptist Fellowship.      

Additionally, Dr. Johnson has been selected to serve on committees for various organizations/groups such as: a committee formed to develop strategies regarding sensitivity in the workplace, former United Way Board Member, past member of Black Employee Training Program (all with the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal), Youth Motivational Task Force (Alabama A&M University), local television broadcast, evangelism team leader-Madison Baptist Association, Huntsville, AL, and as the past local Federal Campaign Chair for the Tennessee Valley Combined Federal Campaign. 

Dr. Johnson was previously an associate minister at First Missionary Baptist Church, Huntsville, AL, under the leadership of Dr. Julius Scruggs. He has served as pastor of Bethany Primitive Baptist Church, New Market, AL and First Baptist Church, Bodenham, TN.

Dr. Johnson has been honored to be married to the lovely Linda Scales Johnson for 34 years. They have two wonderful children, Christopher Earl Johnson and Brittani LaShay Johnson.

Pastor Linda F. Johnson is a native of Alabama. She attended Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical  University (Alabama A & M) where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Special Education an a Master’s Degree in Mild Learning Handicap. Reverend Johnson also earned an E.D.S Leadership degree in Curriculum and Instruction from  Middle Tennessee State University  She is a member Christ Community Church where she is Co-Pastor, Minister of Christian Education and Adult Sunday School teacher. 

She is a retired School Teacher and Behavioral Specialist from the Madison City Board of Education.   Reverened Johnson has been married for the past thrity-four years to Dr. Earl C. Johnson; they have two children: Christopher Earl Johnson  and  Brittani LaShay Johnson . She accepted her calling into ministry on Sunday February 21st 2010, and she prays that she is known by her love for God and her love for His people. One of her favorite scripture is:
